Vacaville Police DUI Check Point

Vacaville, CA - Friday evening Vacaville Police conducted a DUI / License check point. From 8pm to 2am vehicles were funneled into the checkpoint on west bound Mason Street. Additional officers patrolled the surrounding area. The check point is part of the department's "Drunk Driving, Over the Limit, Under Arrest" campaign. Arrest details were not available at press time.

Fairfield Police Chase and Crash

Fairfield - Friday night, Fairfield Police were in a pursuit of a silver Honda. It is unknown where the chase started. Police were in pursuit for approx five to seven minutes before the silver Honda occupied by a male driver crashed into a white pick-up truck on Humfrey Drive. The driver of the Honda was trapped inside his vehicle. Fairfield Fire responded to the scene with the Jaws of Life to extricate the suspect. Once out of the vehicle the suspect was treated by Medic Ambulance Paramedics. The suspect in custody, was taken by ambulance to NorthBay Medical Center for treatment. No further details were immediately available.

Vacaville Police Chase / Felony Car Stop

Vacaville - Vacaville Police chased a vehicle Friday night containing two suspects. The passenger of the car fled the vehicle on Davis Street while the driver continued to flee. The vehicle entered I-80 east bound and was finally stopped on the Leisure Town road off ramp. Vacaville Police conducted a felony car stop and arrest the driver. A search for the passenger around the Davis street area yielded no arrest. The passenger is still at large.
